Goals represent how big a step you want to take towards making your Vision real in the next 12-18 months.
Write out your future state here in big letters.

- Use a 12-18 month time horizon
- Should be SMART (specific, measureable, attainable, relevant and time-bound)
- No more than 4 Goals

Colours
Section titled “Colours”Colour coding can be a useful technique to make using and referring to your Hoshin Kanri easier. When choosing colours try to:
- avoid RAG status colours used for tracking progress i.e. red, amber, green
- colours which are too simimlar
- colours which will be difficult for anyone with colour blindness
An ID number for the goal to make cross referencing with Strategies and Bets easier
